Personally I'm getting an extremely heavy ArcheAge overtone with the game's theme and peeks at gameplay in the trailer with a clear inspiration from BDO's graphic side.

I'm curious what the actual inspiration is or if this is a coincidence... Or at least what does everyone else think?

Wiggles? here? Who would have guessed ;) haha
Well i personally think exactly the same. Im a bit scared that the company who made rly bad decisions about bdo (kakao) and the company with a top seller game full of bugs (pubg) are joining together.. but well i might give it a try in beta or sth.

Black Gold Online / ARGO Online : For the Steampunk universe.

Black Desert Online : For its graphics (and textures pop-in).

Riders of Icarus / Allods Online : For the mounted fights and playstyle (it appears to me like a mixt between Tab-Targeting and Free Aiming).

Shhhh... Wiggles are omnipresent beings, we all know this.

Also good point. The airships at least do indeed give off an Allods vibe.

This really does look like a more quality-driven, modern and complex ARGO to me.

I'm inclined to agree it does seem to be a modern and complex ARGO I'm really excited to see how this continues moving forward.

To be honest, I'd say Guns of Icarus... with the whole steampunk, flying battleships.
Graphic-wise, probably something like BDO, but it seems a lot of new MMORPGs are leaning towards this realistic style nowadays.
Rest just seems like a typical fantasy world with dragons and such.

Never played the games you guys are mentioning other than GoI, but it honestly gave me a little bit of a Final Fantasy vibe.
    like VI and back.
Airships, some of the world design reminded me of Ivalice (FFXII) and other FF settings, and the "mechs" even look kinda like magitek armor.
